Ecovative at MoMA PS1

Ecovative Design, the 2013 winners of the Fuller Challenge, made history this summer with their contribution of 10,000 mushroom bricks to the 40-foot-tall installation titled Hy-Fi in the Museum of Modern Art’s PS1. Hy-Fi, designed by New York-based architecture firm The Living, was selected to construct the piece at MoMA’s location in Long Island City, New York as part of MoMA’s annual Young Architects Program. Earlier this month, Team BFI joined with Ecovative for an exciting tour of the structure, which was worked on full-time by ten Ecovative designers for eight weeks—and that’s not even including the onsite installation!
