Dick, Thank you for the GRUNCH quote. I wonder about something that you have overlooked. The current administration is deeply invested in the fossil fuel economy to the point where they ignore, re-write and distort facts and findings of environmental destruction caused by human agencies. Furthermore, if we refer to Utopia or Oblivion, the political forces have the ultimate trump card to play by initiating the nuclear end-game of destruction. We, in North America, do have a higher standard of energy-slaves at our command, but what of those displaced workers who, through no fault of their own are sidelined, made obsolete and robbed of their ability to provide a number of forward days of survival?

The title of the last chapter in GRUNCH is Can't Fool Cosmic Computer. Thank you John. There is a big misconception going around the Buckminster Fuller community that we should ignore politics, and not monitor the worlds political power structures. This is not what Bucky wrote, everyone should read for themselves on the last page of "GRUNCH of Giants" (available online) what Bucky had to say on this matter.

It's too bad that the BFI's "Design Science Lab" is exactly opposite of what Bucky was trying to teach us. Design Science cannot be applied to political solutions like the UN's programs.
We, who have come to understand, or are in the process of coming to understand Bucky's cosmic accounting and his proposal for an actual, realizable system of global prosperity and equality are now aware that the inherent intelligence of the planet are attack.
Overtly and covertly we, the population of this small planet are being told that "the technology is simply not ready" to change our consumption of fossil fuels, and that the diferences in our belief in an all powerful being are a greater cause that we should be willing to fight and die for. What became of reasons to live for? When reading Critical Path, Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth, one gets a fresh view of the world, a vision of hope, a vision that we humans were put here to do more that just eeke out a miserable exsistence fighting and dying for nothing. Don't believe what you are told by the media, by the corporation giants who are invested in the status quo, keeping the vast majority of humanity uninformed, uninvolved and trying to live from day to day.
Remember that these dinosaurs won't hurt each other, but they are dangerous to each one of us, because they will destroy the planet's ability to support the rest of us for the sake of their money game that is headed for a crash along with the supply of fossil fuels. They tell humanity that the Hydrogen Economy will not save us, nor will solar or wind. Think for yourself!
