The proliferation of mp3 players in this time makes me feel that it is in the interests of any thinker to have their ideas easily obtainable on the internet in mp3 format for wider dissemination. At present this is not the case for Mr. Bucky Fuller.

This site has a link to http://memeticdrift.net/bucky/index.html for audio of the 'Everything I know' series. This website is no longer available. Perhaps, if I could be so bold, the audio of these talks could again be made available somehow?

I can't find a page about copyright. Am I to assume that I shouldn't use anything from the site? In preparing an entry to the BF Challenge, I captured an image of Bucky's 4D globe from the Challenge movie. I'd like to put it in my video for orientation when I'm referring to spaceship earth. At the end I put a credit saying,

I wanted to write a quick note to apologize for the email and site trouble that you might have experienced in the last week with our website or with trying to reach us at our @bfi.org emails. We have been trying to move our website to a new hosting platform and yesterday I decided to pull the plug and switch back to our old hosting company since the service proved to me even more unstable than our current host. We are in the process of locating another hosting company and hopefully giving it another go during the weekend.

I just wanted to quickly give an update on the recent server outage on bfi.org. Our site went down at approximately 10am EST yesterday (8-22-2006) and stayed down until about noon today (8-23-2006). The site went down rather abruptly yesterday when i was trying to update a posting. After waiting for about 5 hours I finally heard back from our ever so responsive hosting provider (site5.com) informing me that there is some kind of a problem with too many database connections being opened at the same time (the maximum that they allow is 15).

I found the rbf in the news feed a valuable source of timely info. Some of it was rather obsure but often it provided a heads up on important fuller related news. Was the baby thrown out with the bath water? If the google news feed on bucky is history then I suggest a permenant link on the left column to a nicely curated and regularly updated collection of Buckminster Fuller In The News which can be found at http://www.cjfearnley.com/buckminster.fuller.news.html
