Jochen,
I'm glad we understand each other now!! Many thanks for looking into this issue. Keep me posted.

Joshua,
I see now what you were stating earlier. Yes, that is a problem.
First of all that list should only contain discussion items and not all types of content. And if it could be organized better that would also be good.
I will look into it and thanks for pointing that out to me!
Best,
- Jochen
Jochen,
I understand and agree with everything you said above but its clear that you did not understand what I was trying to alert you about. I hope this helps clarify the issue.
By clicking on the "online forums" icon/heading in the block it takes you to a page and at the top of the page there are 3 links :
My forum discussions.
Active forum discussions.
Start a new discussion
If you click on the "Active forum discussions" discussions link it takes you to http://207.99.102.199/tracker. That page brings forum participants to a massive undifferentiated list of every content upload/posting you have made to the site with all the participant discussions mixed in. Instead the "Active forum discussions" link should bring folks back to the limited set of discussion topics that have been set up so far. I do not believe this huge list of postings are intended to appear as discussion topics. I think it is important to keep the Webmaster's content uploads from appearing as a list under "active forum discussions".
best,
Joshua
Joshua,
I am not sure that I fully understand your comment. I assume you are referring to the 'ONLINE FORUMS' link instead of 'ACTIVE DISCUSSION FORUMS'... The link to 'ONLINE FORUMS' will get you to the listing of forums which to my understanding is organized in a topical manner and not a massively undifferentiated list of every content/posting that has been made to the site.
I do understand however that eventually we will need to have more distinction between the forums and this is also to the point that jon_van_meter made earlier to organize the forums similar to the way that Synergetics is organized.
My suggestions are that we ought to initially keep the forum organization simple. We have met with an online discussion and community expert who has advised us to keep things simple at the start, as it has been proven that extermely dense cavernous forums tend to discourage users from actually posting their thoughts.
In addition I think that once we have a significant amount of discussions going on, I would be happy to add more forums and introduce a re-organization. I think we might even want to elect active members from our community to edit a subsection of the forums.
Best,
- Jochen
Joshua,

Not sure why you get a white screen. I just added you to my buddy list and here is what the process should be:
1. Click on name of the user you wish to add to your buddylist.
2. You will be taken to the user's profile. Here click on the Add user name to my buddylist link, where user name is the name of the user whose profile you are currently viewing.
3. Click add user on the confirmation box.
4. A confirmation notice such as User name has been added to your buddy list will appear and you will be back in the posting that you were originally viewing.
Best,
- Jochen
Hi Jochen,
When I click on add to buddy list and the action is completed, I wind up on a completely blank page. It would be nice if I was taken back somewhere relevant, i.e. to where I left off or to the discussion forum landing page.
best,
joshua
Jochen,
I think what John may be pointing out relates to the fact that the "active discussion forums" link can take forum participants to a massive undifferentiated list of every content upload/posting you have made to the site. I do not believe these postings are intended to appear as discussion topics. I think it might be important to keep the Webmaster's content uploads from appearing as a list under "active discussions".

joshua
John,
that sounds like an interesting idea. I will see what I can do...
Best,
- Jochen

Jochen, I feel the need to express a need for some sort of structure in the forums section, with unlimited pages there seems to be no cohesive discussion matrix, I would suggest some sort of numbering format along the lines of Synergetics, i.e. Domes=4.0.0 Kaiser Dome =4.1.5, Dymaxion Map=5.0.0, Energy Slave Map=5.3.1, I think that this would give a skeleton to hang the discussions on.
