Alternative Energy/other

I have been a Bucky fan "light is right" for a while. I saw domes at Pacific High in 1970. I had the privilege of hearing Buckminster Fuller speak at Portland Community Collage in about 1971. If I am right about building a mile geodesic sphere, there would be many applications, one of which could be a portable desalinization plant. Covered with solar panels, we would have a portable power plant for any need. I believe we can build this sphere by submerging it as it is assembled. I would like to know if I am right as I am not an engineer. Could someone who is let me know so I can start bending ears.

fuller domes
I am glad to see any sight of those who realize R.B.Fuller and his dream for humanity. Your post on bfi.org has me realizing that you may well be of like mind. My study and passion of architecture has me seeking all feedback in this humanitarian effort in the standing of ecologicly sound structures of shelter.
